Project Manager – Software Development (IT)

About the role

DHL IT Services is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution and delivery of strategic software development initiatives that drive digital transformation across DHL Express. You will work with global business and IT stakeholders, translating objectives into actionable plans and ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, budgets and timelines while managing risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (frontend, backend, integration, data) using Agile and Waterfall approaches.
• Communicate status, issues and roadblocks to internal and external stakeholders.
• Resolve scope, budget and resource challenges and ensure change management does not impact production.
• Maintain project documentation, reports and timesheets to track progress.

Required profile

• 5+ years of project management experience leading medium to large‑scale IT change initiatives.
• Proven track record delivering software development projects with significant business impact.
• Strong leadership in multicultural, matrixed environments and ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
• Commercial and financial acumen, with willingness to work onsite at least two days per week.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Agile and predictive (Waterfall) methodologies.
• Understanding of SDLC and large‑scale transformation or migration.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence and MS Project.
• Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile (preferred).
• Fluent spoken and written English.
