Quality Technician

About the role

The Quality Technician will join the Engineering department at Copeland Flow Controls Czech in Kolín. You will be responsible for ensuring that manufactured parts meet drawing specifications, technical requirements and quality standards through precise dimensional inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections using standard measuring instruments and 3‑D coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Measure components with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, deviation gauges, and other precision tools.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to verify product conformity.
• Record, evaluate and report measurement results.
• Identify deviations and non‑conformities and communicate findings to relevant departments.
• Maintain and calibrate measuring equipment according to scheduled standards.
• Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production, quality, purchasing and engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with the quality management system, internal procedures, safety, fire protection and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Secondary technical education in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Basic knowledge of dimensional measurement with standard instruments.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and carefulness.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Capability to work both independently and within a team.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Fluent Czech (spoken and written) and basic English for technical documents.
• Advantageous: knowledge of GD&T and experience with CMM.
