Senior Accountant (Romanian Speaking)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Senior Accountant who is fluent in Romanian and based in the Czech Republic. The role offers autonomy, full responsibility for the Romanian entity’s accounting agenda, and the chance to work within an international, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for the Romanian entity, ensuring compliance with local accounting and tax legislation.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, audit documentation, and perform reconciliation activities.
• Create and issue invoices, handle supplier invoices, and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
• Prepare and submit tax returns (VAT, corporate income tax) and handle VAT returns under Bulgarian legislation.
• Monitor changes in Romanian accounting and tax regulations and maintain ongoing compliance.
• Process accounts receivable/payable, post bank statements, and prepare payment instructions.
• Handle statutory reporting such as SAF‑T, e‑invoicing, and future Intrastat reporting.
• Support customer master data administration, internal controls, and credit risk processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting with solid knowledge of Romanian accounting and tax regulations.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Fluency in Romanian; basic to intermediate knowledge of Czech and/or English.
• Positive, professional, and proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably M3 (Movex).
• Strong MS Office skills.
