Senior Accountant (Romanian Speaking)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant fluent in Romanian to take full responsibility for the accounting agenda of our Romanian entity, based in Prague.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for the Romanian entity, ensuring compliance with local accounting and tax legislation.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, audit documentation, and perform reconciliation activities.
• Create and issue invoices, process supplier invoices, and handle accounts receivable/payable balances.
• Prepare and submit tax returns (VAT, corporate income tax) and manage statutory reporting such as SAF‑T, e‑invoicing and future Intrastat reporting.
• Post bank statements, prepare payment instructions, and support customer master data administration and credit risk processes.

Required profile

• Previous accounting experience with solid knowledge of Romanian accounting and tax regulations.
• Ability to work independently, organize priorities effectively and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Fluency in Romanian; basic to intermediate Czech and/or English.

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of M3 (Movex) is an advantage.
