Senior Accountant with Czech and English

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support the launch and daily operations of our new Prague branch. The role offers autonomy, responsibility and regular interaction with colleagues across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities for the Czech entity, including processing incoming and outgoing invoices.
• Maintain accurate financial records, accounting documentation and VAT returns in compliance with local regulations.
• Support monthly reporting, management accounting and prepare reports for local management and international stakeholders.
• Handle reconciliations, financial analyses and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Co‑operate with external accountants, auditors and authorities, and communicate regularly with finance teams worldwide.
• Contribute to the implementation and improvement of accounting processes in the new office.

Required profile

• Secondary or university education in Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience with solid understanding of accounting principles and VAT regulations.
• Advanced English and fluent Czech for daily communication with international colleagues.
• Experience in logistics, trading, import/export or commodity trading is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work independently, strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
