Senior AI Platform Engineer - Security

About the role

Esko’s products handle sensitive customer content and support business‑critical workflows. The AI‑powered platform introduces additional security challenges, and the team is building shared security foundations so product teams can develop AI capabilities without implementing critical controls independently. As a Senior AI Platform Engineer you will shape and build these foundations, taking end‑to‑end ownership of substantial security components.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build identity, authorization, delegated‑access, and policy‑enforcement controls for AI systems, covering tenant, user, document, and tool‑level permissions.
• Secure retrieval, tool use, and execution against prompt injection, unauthorized actions, data leakage and other AI‑specific threats.
• Develop audit and monitoring capabilities to make security‑relevant activity traceable and detect high‑risk behavior.
• Conduct threat modelling and adversarial testing, translating findings into shared platform controls and secure defaults.
• Collaborate with cloud platform, security, compliance and product engineering teams to integrate practical, reusable controls.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building secure production systems, preferably in Python or TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience securing cloud, distributed or platform services, including authentication, authorization, policy enforcement and multi‑tenant isolation.
• Practical experience with threat modelling, application security testing and turning risks into engineering controls.
• Experience designing or building systems using LLMs, retrieval‑augmented generation or AI agents and understanding their security failure modes.
• Strong communication skills to convey security decisions and trade‑offs across technical and business stakeholders.
