About the role
GoodData.AI is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help build the next generation of composable, AI‑driven analytics infrastructure. The role can be performed remotely, in a hybrid setting, or onsite at the Brno or Prague offices.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain modular microservices in Python and Kotlin that power data orchestration, integration, and processing pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and QA engineers to deliver high‑impact features and ensure end‑to‑end ownership of the code.
Required profile
- Strong computer science background with experience in object‑oriented programming and clean software architecture.
- Passion for distributed systems, data processing, and technical excellence, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
Required skills
- Python (with type hints)
- Kotlin
- Rust (experience in performance‑critical components is a plus)
- Kubernetes
- Apache Arrow
- DuckDB
- Pandas
- Polars
