Senior Design Engineer

About the role

We are accelerating spacecraft manufacturers by creating smart electro‑mechanical components for satellites, scientific probes, launch vehicles and ground‑segment systems. As a Senior Design Engineer you will shape products from concept through delivery, working on space mechanisms and their electromechanical building blocks.

Key responsibilities

• Define concepts and manage product requirements for commercial and ESA projects.
• Perform detailed design, structural, thermal and functional analysis using FEA and hand calculations.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation and support rapid prototyping.
• Participate in test plan definition, test execution and evaluation.
• Present work internally and to international clients, and prepare for project reviews.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience in aerospace or space‑related projects (ESA preferred).
• Strong responsibility, attention to detail and analytical problem‑solving mindset.
• Fluent written and spoken English at an advanced technical level.
• Ability to work independently and within a small team.
• Experience abroad (studies, Erasmus, internship, etc.) is a plus.

Required skills

• Parametric CAD tools (including drawing creation).
• FEM/FEA analysis tools.
• Hand calculations for structural and thermal analysis.
• FDM and SLA 3D‑printing and other rapid‑prototyping techniques.
• Knowledge of ECSS standards.
