Senior Electronics Engineer - Fire Detection R&D

About the role

Johnson Controls' Fire Detection R&D team in Brno is looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to help develop advanced electronics for fire detectors, alarm systems and life-safety products used worldwide. The role covers the full product development cycle, from concept and design to testing and production, working alongside international engineering teams. Applications are welcome from professionals across the EU who are open to relocating to Brno.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic hardware for new products
• Take part in product development from concept through production
• Create and review technical documentation
• Support testing, validation and troubleshooting activities
• Collaborate with international engineering teams
• Contribute to continuous product improvement and innovation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics Engineering or a related field
• Fluency in English
• Openness to relocation to Brno

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of analog electronics
• Experience in electronic circuit and PCB design
• Ability to read and create electronic schematics
• Knowledge of EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) principles and design practices
• Hands-on experience with EDA tools such as Altium Designer or similar
