Senior Fullstack Java Engineer

About the role

In Prague, within the banking industry, Avenga is looking for a Senior Fullstack Java Engineer to help modernize core business processes. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, streamlining workflows, and delivering scalable solutions that support long‑term business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services in Java, deployed on AWS (Fargate, Lambda).
• Design and implement APIs for frontend applications and work with PostgreSQL databases.
• Contribute to application performance and security improvements.
• Occasionally assist with frontend development using React.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Java backend development.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services, especially Fargate and Lambda.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment.
• Fluent in Czech or Slovak; English proficiency.
