Senior Legal Counsel (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Chart Industries is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel on a 1‑year fixed‑term contract to cover maternity leave. The role will support selected European business units and provide global legal guidance on contracts, compliance, corporate projects and integration activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general legal advice to European and worldwide Chart business units, ensuring compliance with Group policies and risk management.
• Oversee corporate secretarial compliance globally, including board minutes, shareholder resolutions and annual meeting cycles.
• Deliver training on internal legal policies, contract risk management and compliance matters.
• Assist with global litigation, disputes, warranty claims and day‑to‑day compliance (data privacy, anti‑bribery, competition law).
• Coordinate with external counsel and parent‑company departments on restructuring, D&O changes and other strategic projects.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 6+ years of relevant experience in an EU/UK jurisdiction.
• Proven experience in corporate work, commercial contracts and complex project negotiations.
• Background in compliance issues such as anti‑bribery, data protection and competition law.
• Experience working in‑house or at a multinational company, preferably in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical ability, commercial fluency and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Expertise in reviewing and negotiating international commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and related data‑privacy regulations.
• Familiarity with anti‑bribery, corruption and competition law compliance.
• Ability to manage corporate secretarial processes across multiple jurisdictions.
