Senior Operational Buyer – Procurement

About the role

Deutsche Börse Group is expanding its global procurement function and seeks a Senior Operational Buyer to manage complex purchasing activities, drive tactical sourcing, and ensure compliant, efficient procurement services across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Handle end‑to‑end operational purchasing requests, from demand clarification to order follow‑up.
• Plan and execute tactical RFQs, supplier selections and commercial negotiations.
• Advise internal stakeholders on procurement processes, tools, policies and buying channels.
• Ensure proper use of contracts, framework agreements and approval requirements.
• Coordinate suppliers, resolve delivery, ordering and invoice issues, and monitor operational KPIs.
• Drive process standardisation, automation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• University degree in business, economics, supply chain management or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience in operational procurement, tactical sourcing or purchasing within an international, complex or regulated environment.
• Strong commercial, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Confident stakeholder communication, service orientation and a structured working style.
• Fluent English.
