Senior Record-to-Report (R2R) Expert

About the role

AkzoNobel is seeking a Senior Record-to-Report (R2R) Expert to join its international finance team in the Czech Republic. The role focuses on end‑to‑end financial statement preparation, statutory and tax compliance, and supporting month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements for multiple legal entities under IFRS/IAS and Czech GAAP, ensuring timely month‑end, quarter‑end, hard‑close and year‑end reporting.
• Manage statutory audits, direct and indirect tax audits, and related filing compliance, acting as the primary liaison with auditors and tax authorities.
• Maintain and share financial reporting set‑up, general ledger structures, and ensure alignment with global accounting policies.
• Support Business Unit accounting managers with ad‑hoc activities, process improvements, and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of professional accounting experience, including strong knowledge of IFRS/IAS, CZ GAAP and Czech tax legislation.
• Experience working with shared service centers and coordinating with regional accounting controllers.
• Qualified CA or a master’s degree in finance/accounting.
