Senior Software Engineer – Data Pipeline

About the role

Bloomreach is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Data Pipeline team. You will help build and operate high‑throughput pipelines that ingest, transform, and export massive volumes of customer behavior data using modern cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines in Python and Go that process tens of thousands of requests per second.
• Improve throughput, reliability, and autoscaling of import and export jobs, including integrations with MongoDB, Redis, and Google BigQuery.
• Operate production services on Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes, handling high‑volume traffic and participating in on‑call rotations.
• Review peer code and enforce high code‑quality standards using a four‑eyes principle.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Python and solid engineering practices.
• Familiarity with remote‑first work environments and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Experience building ETL pipelines at scale, from diverse data sources to cleaned‑up storage.
