Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer on Cloudbeds' POS team you will own the end‑to‑end development of a cloud‑native point‑of‑sale experience for hospitality properties. You will work across the mobile app, backend services, infrastructure and deployment pipelines to deliver an intuitive, reliable and scalable solution.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy and operate the next‑generation POS application, covering staff access, floor and table management, orders, payments and offline synchronization.
• Own observability, automated testing, release quality, performance, security and production support for customer‑critical workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Payments, Accounting, Reservations, Infrastructure, Security and other engineering teams.
• Maintain and evolve the React Native/Expo front‑end, Python/FastAPI services, Terraform infrastructure and Kubernetes/Helm deployment configuration.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building, shipping and operating production applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript, with hands‑on experience in modern mobile or frontend development (React Native, Expo).
• Solid understanding of relational data modeling, PostgreSQL, caching, API design and distributed systems.
• Experience owning cloud‑native delivery and operations (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, AWS).
• Business‑level English fluency and ability to work effectively in a remote, globally distributed team.
