Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our quality team in Plzeň, Czech Republic. You will play a pivotal role in stabilising the supply chain, driving supplier performance and supporting successful product launches for a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality activities across new and existing programmes.
• Stabilise supplier performance by improving quality, delivery and process capability.
• Ensure full PPAP approval in line with customer requirements.
• Support product launches and prepare suppliers for Start of Production (SOP).
• Drive structured technical problem‑solving using recognised methodologies.
• Conduct supplier process audits and support development activities.
• Manage APQP activities and monitor programme milestones.
• Review and approve PPAP documentation, control plans, PFMEAs, process flow diagrams and capability studies.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics to mitigate supply‑chain risks.
• Lead containment actions and ensure robust corrective actions.
• Travel to supplier sites as required.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer in the automotive industry.
• Background with a Tier 1 or OEM automotive manufacturer.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA and SPC.
• Proven track record in new product introduction and production launches.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills using structured quality methodologies.
• Experience conducting supplier process audits.
• Ability to build effective relationships with international suppliers.
• Czech language skills are essential; English is advantageous.
