Senior Technical Analyst – Chemical Modality Design

About the role

The Senior Technical Analyst will work within the Research and Development Sciences (RaDS) value team to translate scientific and product needs into technical solutions that enable drug discovery and development. The role bridges scientific stakeholders, architects, engineers and external vendors to deliver secure, scalable, and supportable capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Translate scientific workflows and product needs into technical requirements, user stories and data flows.
• Lead technical analysis for new capabilities, integrations, application upgrades and modernization initiatives.
• Evaluate solution options based on scientific fit, feasibility, security, scalability and cost.
• Partner with architects and engineers to define application, integration, data, cloud and deployment designs.
• Design and document integrations using APIs, events, data pipelines and reusable services.
• Coordinate delivery across scientific users, product teams, engineering, platform teams and vendors.
• Serve as primary technical contact for scientific software vendors, handling evaluation, integration planning, testing and deployment.
• Support integration of data, analytics, predictive models, machine learning and agent‑enabled capabilities into scientific workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience in computer science, IT, engineering, computational science or scientific informatics.
• Experience in technical requirements analysis, solution evaluation and scientific workflow analysis.
• Proficiency with application, data and systems integration, REST APIs, event‑driven integration and data pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud application and deployment concepts, SQL and scripting for data analysis.
• Experience with Agile product delivery, backlog management and testing/production‑readiness planning.
