Senior Technical Product Manager

About the role

In the Animal Health division we are modernising our scientific ecosystem to accelerate drug discovery. As a Senior Technical Product Manager you will lead the transformation of the DMTA process by replacing legacy tools with a digital stack powered by Genedata Screener, LiveDesign, TorxMake and DataGrok, driving productivity gains and AI‑enabled predictive design.

Key responsibilities

• Take product ownership and shape the long‑term vision and roadmap of the scientific platform stack.
• Gather requirements from laboratory experts and translate them into clear specifications for development teams.
• Collaborate with data scientists to embed AI/ML models for molecular analysis and ensure seamless integration of new tools.
• Lead change‑management activities to help scientists adopt the new digital applications.
• Act as the primary liaison with external software vendors and report progress to executive leadership.
• Travel occasionally to Germany and once a year to the USA and India to meet global partners.

Required profile

• ~5 years of product management or product owner experience on software platforms.
• Background or familiarity with pharmaceutical research, drug discovery, chemistry, biology or bioinformatics.
• Proven experience modernising legacy systems and guiding users through change.
• Strong English communication skills for collaboration with teams in Germany, the USA and India.
