Software Engineer II – Java Backend (Hybrid, Brno)

About the role

Jamf is looking for a Software Engineer II to join team Red, which builds Java‑based microservices that turn security baselines into compliance reports. The position is hybrid, based in Brno, Czech Republic, and works on backend services running on Kubernetes in AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java microservices using Spring Boot, Pulsar and MongoDB on Kubernetes/AWS.
• Implement the pipeline that converts published security baselines into compliance reports.
• Break down customer problems into actionable tasks and deliver high‑quality solutions independently.
• Utilize AI‑assisted development tools as part of the daily workflow.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building enterprise‑grade software with solid testing practices.
• 3+ years of hands‑on Java and Spring Boot development.
• Experience with cloud‑native microservices (AWS/Kubernetes) and event‑driven architectures.
• Fluency in Czech or Slovak.
