Staff Data Engineer – Enterprise Platform & AI Foundations

About the role

As a Staff Data Engineer you will build, scale and modernize SentinelOne’s enterprise data platform, delivering AI‑ready data foundations and trusted datasets for analytics, product insights, finance and operational workflows at petabyte scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain production‑grade data pipelines across source systems, cloud platforms and business‑facing data products.
• Support critical data workflows using BigQuery, GCP, Kestra, Nexla, DataHub, Looker, Tableau and Workato.
• Improve data quality, observability, freshness monitoring, schema validation and operational reliability.
• Participate in production support, incident response and run‑book development for business‑critical pipelines.
• Strengthen data governance through metadata management, lineage, ownership and certification.
• Partner with Analytics, BI, Product, Finance, GTM, IT, Security and Engineering stakeholders to deliver AI‑ready data solutions.

Required profile

• Advanced SQL and Python proficiency for building, optimizing and troubleshooting large‑scale pipelines.
• Proven experience building batch or near‑real‑time ingestion pipelines with tools such as Nexla, Workato, Fivetran or custom APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑based data stacks, preferably GCP and BigQuery, including performance tuning and environment separation.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Kestra, Airflow or dbt Cloud.
• Deep understanding of dimensional modeling, data quality practices and reliability engineering.
