Staff Software Engineer – Backend (Python, Java/Spring, Go)

About the role

Bloomreach is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join the Pulsar team, building core backend services for its AI‑driven personalization platform. The role is remote‑first for candidates in Central & Eastern Europe, with optional office presence in Bratislava, Brno or Prague.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship high‑impact backend features used by thousands of customers across multiple SaaS products.
• Maintain and improve platform services such as model context APIs, licensing orchestration, user management, and configuration management.
• Collaborate on technical design documents, code reviews, and production deployments in a low‑drama, high‑trust environment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building backend services with Python and a strong grasp of data systems.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud production environments (AWS or GCP) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with web security (OWASP), authentication, and authorization best practices.
