Staff Windows Low-Level C++ Engineer – Endpoint Security

About the role

Join SentinelOne’s Platform group to design and develop advanced security features for the Windows endpoint protection platform. You will work across both user‑mode and kernel‑mode environments, tackling complex performance and stability challenges at massive scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced security features for Windows endpoint protection, both user‑mode and kernel‑mode.
• Build and optimize mission‑critical components such as anti‑tampering protections, network sensors, and agent infrastructure.
• Research Windows internals, debug deep system issues, and solve performance and stability challenges at massive scale.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to deliver high‑impact security capabilities protecting millions of devices worldwide.

Required profile

• Multiple years of experience in low‑level software engineering using modern C++ (or C with willingness to learn C++23).
• Hands‑on experience with Windows OS design, internals, and low‑level development, including debugging and profiling tools.
• Proven track record delivering production‑grade products with wide‑scale deployment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and across time zones.

Required skills

• Modern C++ (C++23) programming.
• Windows kernel and driver development (advantage).
• Windows debugging and profiling tools.
• Understanding of endpoint protection and EDR concepts.
