System Engineer – Senior Infrastructure (f/m/d)

About the role

Deutsche Börse Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for its Commodities IT section. You will own the design, automation and operation of critical on‑premises and cloud infrastructure that supports 24/7 commodities services.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and continuously improve mission‑critical infrastructure on‑premises and in the cloud.
• Automate provisioning, configuration and maintenance using Ansible, Terraform, Git, Python and Shell scripting.
• Implement platform security, system hardening and vulnerability remediation in coordination with Cyber Security.
• Enhance monitoring, logging, metrics and alerting to improve observability.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents and drive sustainable corrective actions.

Required profile

• University degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• At least seven years of hands‑on systems or infrastructure engineering in production environments.
• Strong administration and troubleshooting experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Extensive experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter.
• Proficiency in English and effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
