Unix Linux Operations Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Unix/Linux Operations Specialist to join our Czech Republic team and collaborate with global colleagues in Denmark and the Philippines. You will ensure the stability, performance, and security of a large Unix/Linux environment supporting thousands of servers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily operations and maintenance of a 2000+ server environment, including patching and configuration.
• Participate in service windows and adhere to ITIL change management processes.
• Provide on‑call support and rotate through weekend duty schedules.
• Manage user administration, storage, server deployments, and cluster solutions.
• Contribute to automation projects using scripting and configuration‑management tools.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Solaris, AIX, or HP‑UX.
• Solid understanding of ITIL service‑management fundamentals.
• Strong incident handling, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Proactive attitude with a drive for continuous learning.
