VA/VE Engineer

About the role
We are seeking a VA/VE Engineer to join The Trèves Group’s automotive insulation business in Tabor (or Prestanov). The role focuses on identifying cost‑saving opportunities, assessing technical feasibility, and supporting product improvements throughout the vehicle’s serial life.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate creativity workshops to generate productivity ideas beyond core product lines.
- Identify and evaluate new Value Analysis/Value Engineering opportunities and build technical budgets.
- Participate in site VA/VE committees, providing targeted technical support.
- Review customer engineering change requests and lead feasibility studies.
- Drive implementation of approved modifications in line with serial life processes.
- Lead internal and external meetings, acting as the main communication link between teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Monitor quality incident feedback during serial production and escalate critical issues.
- Prepare monthly activity reports and maintain data in customer portals.
Required profile
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in the automotive industry, preferably with VA/VE, continuous improvement or product engineering.
- Strong technical aptitude for assessing product and process feasibility and managing technical budgets.
- Experience facilitating workshops and leading cross‑functional meetings.
- Familiarity with automotive serial life processes, engineering change management and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, problem‑solving mindset focused on cost optimisation.
- Business fluency in English and Czech.
