Windows Infrastructure Engineer (Hybrid, Prague)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join an international enterprise environment and support business‑critical Windows infrastructure. The role combines Windows Server administration, PowerShell automation, Active Directory, infrastructure monitoring, patching and security, together with basic Microsoft SQL Server administration. Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) is a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server 2019/2022 environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
• Perform server patching, upgrades and security hardening.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, configuration and remediation.
• Investigate performance issues, system failures and production incidents.
• Perform basic Microsoft SQL Server administration, including backups, restores and integrity checks.
• Monitor infrastructure using Dynatrace, Nagios or similar tools.
• Handle incidents, requests and changes through ServiceNow following ITIL processes.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates, including renewals and deployment.
• Support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments when required.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on Windows Server administration in medium‑to‑large enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, GPO, DNS and DHCP.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Basic Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience (backups, restores, troubleshooting).
• Experience with server patching, security hardening and infrastructure monitoring.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
• Good communication skills and English level B2 or higher.
