AI Solutions Engineer

About the role

ABB is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to integrate AI technologies into engineering projects, improving productivity, quality, and delivery speed across real customer and internal initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive adoption of AI‑powered engineering tools across projects.
• Identify engineering challenges and design practical AI solutions.
• Create, configure, and deploy AI agents to support engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project teams, engineering specialists, and business stakeholders to embed AI into daily work.
• Work with the AI Core Team to evaluate emerging technologies, pilot new capabilities, and scale successful solutions.
• Support internal teams and external partners in implementing AI‑driven workflows and best practices.
• Gather user feedback, measure business impact, and continuously improve AI solutions.

Required profile

• Strong engineering background with understanding of complex industrial processes and project workflows.
• Passion for AI technologies and hands‑on experience with AI tools, copilots, agents, or workflow automation platforms.
• Ability to translate business and engineering challenges into practical AI solutions delivering measurable value.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering teams, business stakeholders, and AI experts.
• Curiosity, creativity, and a growth mindset with willingness to experiment and drive innovation.
