Application Engineer - Robotics

About the role

Stäubli, a Swiss manufacturer of mechatronic solutions in fluid connectors, electrical connectors and robotics, is opening a new Application Engineer position at its Pardubice branch. The role provides technical support for the robotic product portfolio to internal sales and service teams, external customers and system integrators, mainly in Central and Eastern Europe and the North East, either remotely or on site.

Key responsibilities

• Help customers use, program and integrate robots, remotely and on site
• Support customers and the sales team on technical aspects of the product range and act as a specialist at exhibitions
• Propose and validate automation concepts using tools such as tooling, vision, conveyor tracking and safety
• Assess feasibility of robotic proposals with simulation software, including cycle time analysis and payload verification
• Run Proof of Principle tests with the Stäubli Robotics Suite
• Promote the full range of robots and software, and act as technical lead for the robotics product range
• Upskill colleagues and support the training manager in customer training

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, Higher Professional School (VOŠ) or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science or similar; proven experience also considered
• Experience with 3D CAD packages, 4- and 6-axis automation, electrical installations, PLCs and fieldbus technologies
• Ability to read company and customer technical drawings and knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
• Valid driving licence
• Strong time management, communication and problem-solving skills
