Business Developer - Construction & Logistics Projects

About the role

Drees & Sommer, a global consultancy in real estate, industry, energy and infrastructure, is looking for an experienced Business Developer with a Project Manager background in Ostrava. You will drive business growth while leading complex construction, logistics and industrial projects from concept to completion, developing strategic client relationships and acting as the link between clients, senior management and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies and identify new markets, clients and project opportunities.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders.
• Lead the full sales cycle, from initial contact and needs assessment through proposals, negotiations and contract execution.
• Lead complex projects, taking responsibility for their technical, commercial and economic aspects.
• Develop project solutions from concept through detailed planning and execution, and coordinate interdisciplinary teams.
• Manage project planning, timelines, budgets, quality and building permit processes in line with local legislation.
• Conduct technical due diligence, market research, feasibility studies and business case analyses.
• Monitor market and competitor developments and represent the company in client meetings, industry events and networking.

Required profile

• Studies in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field in the Czech Republic.
• Experience in Business Development, Sales, Strategy or Consulting, preferably in Real Estate, Construction, Engineering or Project Management.
• Fluent Czech and English, written and spoken; German is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience with CRM systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, and stakeholder management.
