Business Partner Domain Lead

About the role

The Business Partner Domain Lead is the functional authority for Customer, Vendor and Pricing master data within the Global Master Data organization. The role ensures governance, data quality and alignment with group standards while coordinating daily activities across the domain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve standards, processes, procedures and work instructions for Customer, Vendor and Pricing master data.
• Act as the functional lead and subject‑matter expert, handling complex cases, escalations and decision‑making.
• Coordinate and prioritize domain activities to meet service levels, business priorities and governance requirements.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, consistency and compliance across all master data processes.
• Monitor KPI performance, SLA adherence and drive service‑level improvements.
• Promote correct application of data‑governance rules, naming standards, validation and approval controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Sales, Trade Compliance and other stakeholders to guarantee complete and compliant master data.
• Support training, knowledge retention and documentation for the domain.
• Contribute to projects such as process improvements, MDG roll‑outs and new ways of working.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve data quality, service performance and efficiency.
• Maintain audit readiness, approval traceability and documentation standards.

Required profile

• Strong experience in master data administration, governance and business‑process support.
• Deep understanding of Customer, Vendor and Pricing master data structures in SAP S/4HANA.
• Ability to make decisions on data standards, process design and activity prioritisation.
• Excellent collaboration skills with finance, procurement, sales and compliance functions.
