Buyer – Instrument Transformers & Sensors

About the role

ABB is seeking a communicative and well‑organized Buyer for its Instrument Transformers and Sensors unit in Brno. You will be responsible for both operational and strategic procurement of components used in transformer manufacturing, supporting the company’s mission to run industries leaner and cleaner.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely procurement of materials and services required for production.
• Manage purchase orders from creation to delivery.
• Handle tender processes and follow established procurement procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams to achieve cost‑reduction targets and optimise inventory levels.
• Implement new procurement tools and improve administrative efficiency.

Required profile

• Secondary or university education in economics or a technical field.
• Communicative proficiency in English and Czech.
• Experience in procurement or logistics (advantageous).
• Knowledge of SAP and procurement processes (advantageous).
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational abilities.
