Communications Manager for Czechia & Slovakia

About the role

Lilly is seeking a Communications Manager to lead day‑to‑day communications for its business in Czechia and Slovakia. Reporting to the Associate Director – Communications, Czech Cluster, you will translate global narratives into locally relevant content and support the leadership team in building employee engagement and brand reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the annual CZ/SK communications plan, adapting content and timing to local market needs.
• Partner with Country Managers and local leadership, providing counsel on messaging, channel selection, and stakeholder sensitivities.
• Translate cluster and enterprise narratives into culturally appropriate Czech and Slovak communications.
• Manage day‑to‑day media relations, draft press releases, statements, talking points, and coordinate approvals.
• Support proactive media outreach for product launches, corporate milestones, and therapeutic initiatives.
• Monitor local media coverage, flag emerging issues, and assist with crisis‑management plans.
• Coordinate with patient‑advocacy, medical, marketing, legal, and compliance teams on external communications.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the Czech and Slovak media landscapes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the local languages.
• Ability to work independently while aligning with regional communication strategy.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable handling sensitive information.
