Compliance Officer – Data Privacy & AML

About the role

The Compliance Officer will safeguard the integrity of BMW Financial Services Czech Republic by overseeing data privacy, anti‑money‑laundering, anti‑fraud and regulatory monitoring activities. You will work closely with internal teams and external regulators to ensure the company complies with all applicable laws and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage data privacy protection, AML, anti‑fraud, legislative and regulatory monitoring, and information protection.
• Ensure effective committee management and governance standards.
• Provide compliance support for frameworks, risk analyses, annual reports, quality assurance and controls.
• Monitor legal changes and implement necessary updates (Legal Monitoring).
• Offer legal support to insurance, collection and recovery departments, including court cases and communication with authorities.
• Maintain internal control functions towards regulators and manage the Supervisory Board office for CZ and SK.
• Communicate compliance updates to employees in the Czech Republic and to regional headquarters in Austria and Munich.
• Organise compliance training, business coaching and external vendor management.

Required profile

• University degree in Law.
• Minimum three years of combined legal and compliance experience, preferably within financial institutions.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Fluency in Czech or Slovak and strong English skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an international environment with headquarters in Austria and Germany.
