Cook Breakfast / Commis Chef

About the role

Join the culinary team at a leading hotel in Prague as a Cook Breakfast / Commis Chef. You will support the breakfast service by preparing high‑quality dishes, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring a smooth kitchen operation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients: portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
• Cook and assemble hot and cold dishes, adhering to quality, presentation and safety standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Monitor food temperatures, test doneness and ensure consistent quality.
• Set up, maintain and break down work stations, keeping the kitchen clean and disinfected.
• Serve food in proper portions and containers, and handle kitchen waste responsibly.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies, reporting any issues promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a similar kitchen or food‑service role.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 25 lb throughout the shift.

Required skills

• Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Food preparation, portioning and plating.
• Food safety, temperature monitoring and hygiene compliance.
