Data Engineer – Precision Forestry (Ostrava)

About the role

Join Stora Enso's Forest Data Services as a Data Engineer within the Precision Forestry team. Based in Ostrava, you will design, build, and maintain data and AI pipelines that support spatial and forestry data analysis for better business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure existing data & AI pipelines run reliably in production, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing as needed.
• Create new data pipelines and processing solutions aligned with service requirements.
• Collaborate with an AI Technical Lead, another Data Engineer, and business stakeholders to improve pipeline reliability and execution speed.
• Participate in refining business requests and continuously adopt emerging technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Stack and basic DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
