Databricks Data Engineer

About the role

Billigence is a global Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and AI consultancy that helps clients turn data into actionable business outcomes. They are seeking Databricks Data Engineers at various experience levels to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines on the Databricks platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines on Databricks using Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, workflows and notebooks (PySpark/SQL).
• Work end‑to‑end from raw ingestion to clean, reliable outputs ready for analytics and modeling.
• Apply medallion architecture and best practices for reliability, performance and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants and project managers to translate technical complexity into client‑friendly solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, lead architecture decisions or define technical standards depending on seniority.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing through sessions, webinars and tech talks.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Databricks and strong SQL/Python skills.
• Solid experience with Azure at any level.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code.
• Proactive, ownership‑driven attitude.
• Fluent in Czech and English at a professional level.
