Designer

About the role

ABB is looking for a motivated Designer to join the Mechanical Engineering team within the Modular Systems unit. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the construction part of the drawing documentation for modular systems with low‑ and medium‑voltage switchgear, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the project manager on customer orders.
• Produce technical documentation for projects, initially under the guidance of an experienced designer and later independently.
• Generate required technical data and support error correction.
• Develop atypical and complex construction solutions for modular systems.

Required profile

• Secondary or higher education in mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency in English at a communicative level.
• Flexibility, proactive attitude, ability to work independently and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Required skills

• Experience with DraftSight.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Experience with Revit.
