Developer Relations & Product Marketing Manager

About the role

AppSignal is a developer‑focused platform that provides enriched context stores and insights for monitored applications, services, and infrastructure. We are looking for a technically curious, hacker‑ and community‑first storyteller to help developers understand how AppSignal can fit into their toolset.

Key responsibilities

• Research emerging developer technologies, prototype new ideas, integrations and use‑cases, and build demos or proofs‑of‑concept.
• Create high‑quality technical content such as tutorials, blog posts, videos, livestreams, product walkthroughs and observability best practices.
• Represent AppSignal across online communities, conferences, webinars, podcasts and other developer‑focused channels, engaging with developers on GitHub, Reddit, Discord, LinkedIn, YouTube, X/Twitter, Hacker News and forums.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Customer Success, bringing community insights back to inform the product roadmap.

Required profile

• Technical curiosity and a hacker mindset with demonstrable experience in developer relations, developer marketing or similar roles.
• Strong technical storytelling ability, able to turn complex concepts into compelling narratives for deeply technical audiences.
• Comfortable creating written, video or social content and presenting technical ideas on camera.

Required skills

• Experience with AI, APIs and modern developer tools.
• Proficiency using GitHub and building applications.
• Knowledge of observability, APM, OpenTelemetry, monitoring and infrastructure tooling.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools, LLM APIs and agentic developer workflows.
