Digital Design Director

About the role

Join onsemi’s New Product Development team in Brno, Czech Republic, to lead a group of digital designers creating next‑generation analog‑digital integrated circuits for high‑performance sensor interfaces, drivers, and communication circuits, primarily for the automotive market.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, hire, and mentor a team of product development engineers.
• Lead collaboration with application engineering, system development, product definers, firmware and software teams on product features, architecture, IP development, design‑for‑test and design‑for‑manufacturing.
• Provide technical leadership in architecture and circuit design based on high‑level specifications.
• Own the technical outcome of design, verification, implementation and execution of the team’s products.
• Identify, recommend and implement new systems, tools, processes and technologies to improve design reuse and platform‑based product development.

Required profile

• MS or BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 15+ years of professional experience in digital design and management.
• Proven ability to attract and retain engineering talent and manage multiple projects.
• Advanced communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Eligibility to work in the Czech Republic.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of digital design principles and RTL‑to‑GDS flow.
• Proficiency with leading‑edge design and verification concepts and tools.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers, DSPs and embedded firmware.
• Experience with platform‑based system design and compute architectures.
• Awareness of EMC design considerations.
