Electrical Design Engineer – Wiring Harnesses

About the role

Join a newly established Technical Engineering Center in Mladá Boleslav, supporting projects for a leading automotive OEM in the Czech Republic. This position offers the chance to shape processes, structures, and a team from the ground up while having a direct impact on premium automotive solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and optimisation of electrical wiring harnesses from concept through series production.
• Analyse design data, ensure compliance with OEM standards and customer requirements.
• Drive engineering changes (ECR/ECO) and assess their impact on product and production.
• Create, review and maintain high‑quality technical and CAD documentation.
• Perform technical calculations such as wire cross‑sections, load analysis and fuse sizing.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, suppliers and customer representatives.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Czech and German or English (minimum B2 level) for work‑related communication.
• Experience as a designer or in a similar engineering position.
• Technical degree in electrical engineering, automotive, mechatronics or a related field.
• Solid understanding of OEM standards and product development processes.
• Analytical thinking, ability to work independently and strong organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in an international environment.

Required skills

• Electrical wiring harness design.
• CAD for electrical systems (e.g., electrical design software).
• Technical calculations (wire cross‑section, load, fuse sizing).
• Knowledge of OEM standards compliance.
• ECR/ECO change management processes.
