Field Clinical Engineer - Electrophysiology (Czechia)

About the role

Abbott's Electrophysiology Division (EP) is looking for a Field Clinical Engineer to join its team in the Czech Republic. This is a regional, field-based role involving daily travel across the country, with the preferred location in the Moravian region, preferably Ostrava or nearby cities. The role supports EP procedures clinically and technically and promotes Abbott product lines through professional, technical and clinical support to medical and sales personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical consultation, teaching and support on the use of all EP products and their application in the clinical setting.
• Maintain up-to-date technical and clinical knowledge of current and new therapies and technologies, including competitor devices, and understand the dynamics of the Czech healthcare market.
• Conduct product presentations and stand duty at exhibitions when requested, answering technical questions from the team and customers.
• Answer technical questions from the field and internally and report them promptly to the competent authorities within Abbott.

Required profile

• University degree in biomedical engineering or a science-related field.
• Ideally electrophysiology or cardiac rhythm management clinical experience; cardiac anatomy and physiology knowledge is a strong asset.
• Native Czech and very good command of English, written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time and ability to work autonomously.
• Driving licence category B is a must.
