Functional Safety Software Team Manager

About the role

The Functional Safety Software Team Manager will lead multi‑site development teams responsible for delivering high‑quality functional safety software for automotive microcontrollers. You will work closely with NXP automotive solution teams, hardware designers and customers to ensure safety‑critical products meet ISO 26262 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multi‑site software development teams to deliver functional safety SW products.
• Drive the complete software development cycle in line with quality processes.
• Ensure effective communication within the team, with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Interact with marketing and customers to gather feedback and propose solutions.
• Support internal and external audits related to safety and security.

Required profile

• University degree in electronics, programming or a related field.
• Experience in software team management.
• Experience in embedded software project management within a global organization.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle models.
• Skilled in planning and risk management.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
• Strong English communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and decisiveness.
