General Ledger Team Leader

About the role

Join the UK/EMEEA team as a General Ledger Team Leader in Prague. You will lead a team of GL accountants while being actively involved in month‑end and year‑end closings and complex accounting analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of GL accountants, allocate tasks, conduct performance reviews and provide training.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes, reviewing accruals, adjustments and financial statements.
• Prepare accurate financial reports, including P&L statements and balance sheets, and analyse trends for strategic decisions.
• Identify inefficiencies in GL operations and implement process improvements and automation.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of finance/accounting experience, including team leadership.
• Experience in change and transformation projects such as process re‑engineering or technology implementations.
• Professional level English communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with SAP, HFM or equivalent financial systems.
