Industrial Innovation Engineer

About the role

Resideo is seeking an Industrial Innovation Engineer to join its Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team. You will scout, evaluate, and pilot emerging industrial technologies that can reshape manufacturing across EMEA sites, turning proof‑of‑concepts into scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess emerging technologies that improve manufacturing performance.
• Design, build, and validate proof‑of‑concepts for automation and digital manufacturing.
• Develop rapid prototypes using industrial hardware, cameras, PLCs, sensors, and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with plants, technology suppliers, system integrators, and startups.
• Support the transition of successful pilots into production deployments.
• Share knowledge and best practices across global manufacturing teams.
• Travel to manufacturing sites to drive innovation projects.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in manufacturing or industrial automation.
• Proven ability to integrate industrial hardware and software.
• Strong curiosity for new technologies and continuous learning.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel internationally and hold a valid driving licence.

Required skills

• Programming in Python or C# (or similar languages).
• Experience with Computer Vision, AI, Machine Learning, or Robotics.
• Knowledge of MQTT, OPC UA, PLC programming, MES or Ignition platforms.
