Innovation Product Manager - Self-Custody

About the role

Trezor's Innovation team takes a single hard problem and stays with it until it is solved, with the depth, research and prototyping that is often squeezed out by day-to-day delivery. The Innovation Product Manager defines what to build and why, proves it with their own prototypes and sees the project through to release with the delivery teams across Suite, Firmware and hardware. The focus is on self-custody: sending and receiving, backup and recovery, inheritance and shared control of funds.

Key responsibilities

• Own mission-driven self-custody projects end to end, from the first idea to a shipped product
• Gather input from users, support, partners, the wider crypto industry and internal teams, and turn it into a clear problem statement and a convincing case for solving it
• Build the vision and roadmap for each project and break it down so every contributing team knows what it needs and why
• Prototype yourself, using AI to turn an idea into something clickable in hours, and let real users' reactions shape the project
• Work with experts from individual teams on cryptography, protocol design, device feasibility, design and other hard parts
• Finish the project with the delivery teams across Suite, firmware and hardware, staying the person with the whole picture from day one
• Defend the quality and consistency of the solution across device, desktop and mobile, and watch constraints such as interoperability with other wallets and standards and the physical limits of the hardware
• Present and defend direction to stakeholders up to C-level, and facilitate difficult conversations between teams

Required profile

• Senior product experience, owning something ambitious end to end rather than running a backlog someone else defined
• Opinions on seed backup, recovery, inheritance and multisig, able to defend them
• A genuinely technical mind, able to hold its own in deep technical conversations
• Idea generator who arrives with a point of view and keeps producing new ones
• Exceptional written and spoken communication, able to persuade rather than instruct
• Deep knowledge of the crypto industry and active, hands-on use of it
• Daily, fluent use of AI as a working tool for prototyping, research and thinking
• Comfort with autonomy and ambiguity, fluency in English
• Ability to collaborate onsite regularly in Prague

Required skills

• Plus: experience with hardware devices, embedded systems, secure elements or other constrained environments
• Plus: background in security, cryptography or privacy-preserving technology
• Plus: hands-on familiarity with advanced wallet setups across Bitcoin, Ethereum and other ecosystems
• Plus: experience running qualitative user research or designing and testing your own prototypes
