Junior/Postdoc Researcher – Transient Current Technique

About the role

The Department of Structural Dynamics at ELI Beamlines is looking for a motivated Junior/Postdoc Researcher to lead and develop user activities on the laser‑based Transient Current Technique (TCT) station. This role offers the chance to work with cutting‑edge femtosecond laser systems and contribute to high‑impact research in particle detectors and solid‑state physics.

Key responsibilities

• Support user operation of the laser‑based Transient Current Technique (TCT) station.
• Participate in the development and optimisation of experimental capabilities of the TCT station.
• Develop data‑processing and analysis tools for TCT measurements.
• Contribute to national and international research collaborations within the Department.

Required profile

• PhD in physics, engineering, electronics or a related field (candidates at the end of their PhD are encouraged to apply).
• Strong interest in particle detectors, semiconductors, solid‑state physics and ultrafast lasers.
• Hands‑on experience with electronic and optoelectronic devices such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, amplifiers and photodetectors.
• Good spoken and written English for an international work environment.
