Lékař – hospital physician

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time physician to join the medical team at Krajská nemocnice T. Bati in Zlín. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality patient care in line with current clinical guidelines and hospital standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient examinations, diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient progress.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Participate in ward rounds, consultations, case discussions and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment options and preventive care to patients and families.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, safe care.
• Adhere to infection‑control and patient‑safety protocols and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide emergency care coverage and on‑call duties as required.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.

Required profile

• Completed medical degree (MUDr. or equivalent) with a valid Czech medical licence or eligibility to obtain one.
• Relevant clinical experience in hospital or outpatient settings; specialization or residency is advantageous.
• Strong diagnostic and evidence‑based decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in Czech; basic English is beneficial.
• Professionalism, ethical conduct and respect for patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple cases and remain calm under pressure.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and ongoing education.
• Comfort with hospital information systems and openness to new technologies.
