Operation Planner

About the role

ABB is seeking an Operation Planner for the High Voltage Switchgear Engineering department in Brno. The role focuses on aligning engineering team capacities with project priorities to ensure efficient delivery of customer orders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Overview and planning of engineering team capacities across electrical, mechanical design, and protection programming.
• Create and update short‑term and medium‑term capacity plans linked to project priorities.
• Coordinate engineer workload and balance capacities between teams and professions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering team leaders on work planning, priorities, and resource availability.
• Monitor plan fulfillment, report capacities, and support continuous improvement of planning processes.

Required profile

• Experience in planning, engineering, or project management.
• University education in electrical or mechanical engineering is a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation and decision‑making skills.
• Fluent in Czech and English (minimum B2 level) for daily written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with planning tools, Power BI.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
