Operations Manager

About the role

ABB is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a plant undergoing major transformation, including relocation to a larger facility in Blučina and the adoption of a new manufacturing model.

Key responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for day‑to‑day plant performance across manufacturing, logistics, quality, planning and technology.
• Lead the plant relocation project and prepare processes for the new manufacturing approach.
• Drive KPIs in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost and resource utilization.
• Identify and implement improvements in productivity, material flow, waste reduction and working‑capital efficiency.
• Develop and coach a management team of about 8 direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with proven leadership of large teams.
• Experience managing managers (5+ years preferred) and leading change initiatives.
• Strong analytical mindset, data‑driven decision making and fluency in Czech and English (C1 level).
• University degree in a technical or economic field, or equivalent experience.
