Platform Engineer

About the role

The Platform Engineer will design, deploy, and maintain data platforms, combining creative and analytical problem‑solving skills. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers and technical leads to define functional and non‑functional requirements and deliver reliable, secure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define platform standards and author, review, and maintain Terraform modules for multi‑account, multi‑environment deployments.
• Implement reusable environment provisioning, create clear documentation, and develop CI/CD pipelines in partnership with cross‑disciplinary teams.
• Integrate the platform with data‑governance tooling, automate delivery, and contribute to solution architecture evaluations.
• Participate in planning, execution, and delivery of platform initiatives while reporting to functional and product managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), SQL, analytics platforms, DevOps tools and REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, Lambda, KMS, etc.).

Required skills

• Terraform, SQL, AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, Lambda, KMS).
• GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, containerization.
• Programming languages: Scala, R, Java.
• Familiarity with Trino, Databricks, Redshift, Grafana and networking principles.
